This session provides thoughtful, practical strategies for your success in your role as a new school leader. You will learn how to make pro-active choices and address your school concerns on a daily basis. During this six-hour workshop, you will be actively involved, discussing ideas and strategies that will be shared from the practical experiences of former assistant principals and principals. Among the subjects to be discussed will be practicing purposeful visibility in setting goals and initiatives, bringing about change to strengthen your instructional program, planning for expansion beyond data-based accountability ,creating and supporting professional development for you and your staff, supporting every program, every teacher, every student every day, and assisting with protocol and procedures concerning Dyslexia State Law TEC 38.003, and State Board of Education Tule TAC 74.28.
