This class prepares the user to analyze TAKS, TAKS-M, TAKS-Alt and TELPAS data within the AEIS IT program. This session is a prerequisite for attending the Scan IT/Slug IT class. Users trained prior to the 2008-2009 school year should attend this session before attending Scan IT/Slug IT.

This 1/2 day workshop is designed for LEA Child Find Coordinators and/or personnel in a leadership role for Child Find. These leadership meetings will be held twice a year to discuss ongoing issues within this realm of special education. Participants will have time to discuss and ask question of Region 10 personnel and representatives from other districts. There is no fee for this session for participants associated with Region 10. However, as of September 20, 2004, Out-of-Region participants will be charged $50 per day for the session and will be wait-listed until two weeks prior to this session. This session entitled Nature and Needs of Gifted and Talented Students serves as Module 1 in the 30 hour training required for G/T endorsement. THIS EVENT IS FULL. Registrations will be accepted as cancellations occur.

Monthly transition/VAC meetings are a series of meetings designed to provide training for transition specialist and vocational adjustment teachers. Each meeting, held from 1:00 - 4:00, will include a time for latest updates, training programs, district share, and networking. There is no fee for these sessions for persons associated with Region 10. However effective September 20, 2004, Out-of-Region participants will be charged $50 per day for this event and wait-listed until two weeks prior to this session. To create from within yourself the outcomes you want to see, you will learn the specific tools of Energy Analysis, Eye of the Needle, and Relaxed Alertness. As school leaders use these tools, they will find that they have, indeed, more power with less stress.

Participants will become familiar with universal design and the impact it has on curricular practices. Out-of-region participants will be charged $50 per day for this event and wait-listed until two weeks prior to the session. This Technology Institute allows the analysis of data by representing data in a meaningful way. Participants will take home lessons that will engage students in gathering data, data analysis, problem solving, and mathematical reasoning through the use of various modes of technology. Fee: This workshop is available only for public school districts and charter schools who are members of the Title II/Title V Regional Cooperative Services. There is no additional fee. Please confirm cooperative membership with your district before registering. Prerequisite: This workshop is intended for currently employed teachers in Region 10. Out-of-region teachers or teachers not currently employed may attend for a $50 fee.

The purpose of this session is to provide Level 1 TELPAS Holistic Rating Training for educators working with grades 2-12. Please be aware that this session is the first step in a series of training requirements for prospective TELPAS raters. Participants who attend this required session will also be required to complete an online course that may be accessed independently. In addition to fulfilling these training requirements, participants working in grades 2-12 must also complete the online qualification assessment.
