Teaching with DEFIANCE Workshop

During World War II, the Bielski brothers rescued 1,200 Jews and organized the largest all-Jewish resistance unit in Europe. The film Defiance (starring Daniel Craig) tells their true story. Engage your students in critical thinking about History, Leadership, Ethics, and Values with JPEFs multimedia curriculum on teaching with the film.The first 50 teachers to register will receive: Defiance film and Educator DVD with classroom-appropriate scenes plus printed materials and shorts films with primary-source testimonials at no cost. Additional teachers (50+) will be charged $15 for the materials payable at the museum. Educator DVD and Guide available only through JPEF workshops * It is highly recommended that you take JPEF Resistance Basics e-learning course www.jewishpartisans.org/elearning before this workshop to learn more about the Jewish partisans.Up to 4 CPE can be earned by attending this workshop.
