From beginning signers to advanced interpreters, the SEE Skillshop is designed to help adults improve their expressive and receptive signing skills in English in 6-8 groups of approximately 15 people at each level.Curriculum will include vocabulary building, fluency, expressiveness, and finger spelling. There also will be special sessions in related topics such as song and story telling techniques, visual features, interpreting ethics, speech readability, research findings, and problem solving.Interested participants may register for the Educational Sign Skills Evaluation (ESSE), conducted by the SEE Center at the close of the SEE Skillshop. Additionally, all interested participants may register for the Board of Evaluation of Interpreters exam (state exam), to be held following the close of the Skillshop on July 11, 2008 at Region 10 Education Service Center in Richardson. Interested participants should note this on the registration form.
