MATH PLUS is a migrant education summer school program designed in response to substantial needs identified in migrant students. MATH PLUS provides the most highly mobile students with research- and evidence-based curriculum, instruction, and supportive services that address their special needs. MATH PLUS adapts the MATEMATICA and PASS curricula for use in both the classroom and home-based service delivery for K-12 migrant students. This session is highly recommended for the Region 10 Migrant Coop. Come and learn about this excellent summer program for migrant students and find out how Region 10 will support your implementation of MATH PLUS.

In this workshop, instructors will walk you through the six traits of writing: ideas, organization, voice, word choice, sentence fluency, and conventions. Participants will assess student papers with supplied rubrics, make literature connections, and learn new instructional strategies that can be taken into the classroom right away. Participants will leave ready to evaluate student papers using the trait rubrics and be able to identify strengths and weaknesses in student writing while teaching the six traits.&13;&13;
